Many Thanks  to all from Arnold and Mary Bailey for celebrating Mary's 75th birthday. We are giving $60.000 to the stained-glass window fund. ~ the Bailey's

Pastor Jake is representing our cadre of ministries at Family of Christ in Ham Lake this morning (and last night).

Next Sunday, October 22, Katherine Doepke will lead us in a Service of Praise! If you have special requests, please give them to her today.

Annual Fall Festival - The school's annual Fall Festival is Friday, October 27th from 5:30-8:00 p.m. All church and ministry families are invited to attend this evening of fun, fall, and family activities! There will be entertainment, games, crafts, and food. If you would like to donate items or money, please call anyone on the committee (Terry Bentz, Nadine Keck, Michelle Melde or Chris Tredray) at 612-872-2352. Join us for this evening of fun, fellowship & celebration!

The Next LWML Meeting, the afternoon of Thursday, November 9th, will feature retired missionary Margaret Lindell as guest speaker. Ladies, you won't want to miss her inspiring words!

Tiger Club is Back! We're looking for volunteers to join us in God's Mission taking place at the end of the school day! Volunteers are needed from 2:30-5:30 on school days. Items are also needed. Please check out this page for more information.

Bible Study for Seniors will begin again on Saturday, October 14th. The group will be meeting the second Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m. For more information, please see Charles and Jeanne Huff.

Fall LWML Rally will be on Tuesday, October 24 at 6pm at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. See Gloria for details.

Salad Bar Fundraiser for Church Projects! October 29, 2006 - Enjoy salads and fellowship while raising and matching money for Trinity First. Money raised will benefit our Tape Ministry and our Stained Glass Window Project. There is $1300 available from Thrivent this year. Let's use it all! Mission Minute - The "Vision 90/Mission at Home" statement of the Lutheran Church in Australia has the following statement: Every Congregation a Mission Congregation, Every Pastor a Missionary.

OHSCO is Sponsoring a Service of Consecration for Rev. Dr. Mark Press (new Director) and Steve Henderson (new missions professor) today at 3:00 pm at St. Michael's Lutheran in Bloomington. Pastor Jacob has been asked to participate in the celebration and you're invited to celebrate too!

CrossPollination Ministries is offering a weekend (Oct 19-21) workshop of inspiring worship and teaching a special time focused on worshiping God as part of our daily lives and talking about Him with others. Part of the weekend will be spent in a hands-on learning environment, observing and participating in conversations. For more information, call the church office.

A Free, Family-Oriented Event!  As part of a four day celebration of their new president, Paul C. Pribbenow, Augsburg College is hosting the ":Auggie Spirit Zone." On Saturday, October 21, from 11-1, this even will include a petting zoo (50+ exotic animals), chalk art, a rock climbing wall, and more followed by free admission to the Augsburg vs. Carleton football game at 1pm.

"China Place" - You are invited to attend an open house today. The Hospitality Center for Chinese and China Service Ventures bought the building that formerly housed Lutheran Campus Ministry across from the St. Paul campus of the U of M. Steve Wiesenauer was called to a congregation in Stillwater and is dividing his time between serving that congregation and the Hospitality Center for Chinese.

Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church cordially invites you to join in thanks and praise for "75 Years - Praising God Through All Generations." Your present or past association with Mount Calvary has been one of the many blessings bestowed on this congregation in its seventy-five year history.
+  On Saturday, October 21st at 7pm there will be a "Pipe Organ Rededication Service" with a pie and ice cream social following. Pastors Eugene Rally, Kevin Westergren and Don Stults will be participating.
+  Then on Celebration Sunday, October 22nd, there will be two worship services (8:00 & 10:45 am) with Pastor Edgar Rehwaldt preaching.
+  Then that same day there will be a Banquet Lunch at 1pm with a social program at the Royal Cliff Banquet H all in Eagan (reservations will be required).

Sauerkraut Spar Rib Dinner & Bake Sale held on Sunday, October 22nd from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at St. James Lutheran Church (4854 Portland Ave S, Minneapolis). Tickets: adults $8.50, kids 4-12 $3, kids 3 and under $free. Take out is available. For reservations, call 612-824-8828.

2006 will be a Year of Testimonies at Trinity First (among other things). Do you have words of encouragement to share? Please see Pastor Jacob - he'll make sure you get to "tell everyone what He has done"!

Have a favorite hymn? Suggestions may be placed in the offering plate.

Please Consider bringing in some flowers from your garden for all to enjoy! Flowers beautify our sanctuary and remind us of God's creation. The sign up sheet is in the narthex. Please call the church office if you would like to recognize a special occasion with your flowers and it can be printed in the bulletin.

Hymnal Repair - if you see a hymnal in church that is in need of some repair, please give it to Bea.

Sign-Up Sheets to provide flowers for the sanctuary are on the bulletin board in the Narthex. It's a great way to honor a special person or occasion!

Portals of Prayer for October-December are available in the Narthex. Suggested donation is $1. What a great way to spend time with God and your family. A limited number of large print copies are available in the church office.

Campbell's Soup Labels -  Lutheran Special Education Ministries can benefit from Campbell's soup labels - and labels from other Campbell's products as well. The ministry sends the labels to Campbell's and exchanges them for classroom equipment and materials which will benefit us at Trinity First. For information on how you can help with this project, please contact Michelle at school.
