Mike & Misty Eull have settled into new digs with his sister in Mounds View. They are doing well, but Misty says it’s too quiet and she misses all of us at Trinity First. Please be in prayer…we’ve received word that Ramona Bond (former member) was hospitalized for colon cancer that has spread to her lungs.
The Men In The Construction Trades from St. John’s Chaska who looked at our remodeling needs last Saturday were cautiously optimistic that they could help us with at least some of the many improvements that need to be made so we can make fuller use of our space. Their first suggestion was that we get our heating plant fully operational. They’ll investigate this and other possibilities and get back to us. Another realization made by the Chaska men—and by our Church Council earlier that morning—is that we might consider praying for a building manager. This is a large building with many “systems” and at this time the trustees and I are not able to keep up with all the preventative maintenance and repairs that need to be done. After all, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! ~ Pastor Jake
I received a letter from Doris J. Thomas, Founder/Director of “Mothers of Crime Victims”, a new not-for-profit based in Minneapolis that reaches out to mothers who’ve lost children—specifically to gun violence. She asks for your solidarity in prayer for this effort. You may visit mothersofcrimevictims.com for more information.

I look forward to seeing all of you again. You are welcome to visit or call me anytime. Thanks again! ~ Blessings, Gloria Groenke

Hispanic Mission Minute
- by Abby Dawkins
Sent Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending
you." God’s missionaries are being sent out into the world….and they are not
all coming from North America! I had the privilege to attend URBANA, a
gathering of 22,000 college-age students from 140 countries who are all
interested in missions. What a privilege to feel the reality of the
beautiful diversity in the body of Christ! One of the seminars I attended
was led by a Mexican woman and her husband who live in Mexico and serve with
a Latin American sending agency. She shared of opportunities for Latinos to
be involved in missions in the United States working with immigrants (They
worked in the Minneapolis neighborhood for 7 years), in Latin America, and
around the world. The paradigm of missions is changing. What a privilege to
work together with our brothers and sisters around the world! Pray for our
Latin American brothers and sisters serving in our neighborhood and all over
the world as messengers of God’s salvation!
Intern Somali Love - by Doug
Stoeckicht
As a student I feed on information, and I am always looking to ease my
hunger. This week I was fed information on the local Muslim population in
Minneapolis. I found out that the number of Mosques has almost doubled since
2006 within the Minneapolis area. Brothers and Sisters this is a scary
thought in thinking that there is that much of an increase of people who
don’t yet know the Love of Christ. I pray that as time continues more will
leaders will rise up and show are Muslim neighbors the Love of Christ. Tell
someone you love them this week, you may be surprised by the response. Mt.
28: 16-20
