Hispanic Mission Minute  -  by  Abby Dawkins
Good Eatin'  -  Food! We enjoy it. We anticipate it. We need it to survive. But it is easy to see our meal times as tasks to be done rather than nourishment and fellowship to be enjoyed. especially in our culture of busy-ness and schedules. While chatting with a pastor of a Hispanic church I was reminded of the genuine gift that surrounds a meal. "What's important is that there is a relationship [with those you serve and serve with]. Be with them, eat with them, talk with them," he said. This is the gift of food and fellowship, and opportunity to live in community and build upon the relationships in your life and to share about the one who is the true "bread of life" - Jesus. With whom is God calling you to eat and fellowship with today? Pray for the Reyes family.
