Birthday Party / Open House in honor of Marie Bristol's 90 Birthday on Saturday, June 2nd from 3-6pm at Augustana Apartments (1425 10th Avenue South, Minneapolis) in the Sky Room on 7th floor. All are invited.

Sunday Morning 8:30 Bible Study will begin meeting again on June 3rd.  ~ Norm G.

Pastor Miller's Retirement Celebration will be held on Sunday, June 24th at 11:30 am at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (5421 France Ave S, Edina). At the youthful age of 95, Fred Miller will be retiring. Celebrate his 72 years of ministry with a luncheon and program. There is no cost... and what use do you have with gifts when you are 95? (Note from Pastor Mark Shocky: I realize Sundays @ 11:30 am is a busy time for most of us. Come whenever you are available, or drop a note to be presented to Fred. Please RSVP by June 15th tot he church office 952-927-8400 or jharper@stpetersedina.org . Pass the word to anyone you feel has been blessed by Fred's ministry and friendship.) Tibetan Mission Minute - by Rev. Bob & Sheila Nikl
The Tibetans are a wonderful, gentle people and are so giving of their time. In most families both parents work, many work double shifts: leaving early in the morning and not returning until late in the evening. This has provided us with an opportunity to be with their children, which is the opening for the KIDS Club. We spend time with the Tibetan children, witnessing God's love to them - through our actions and answer questions about Christ and our faith. As we are with our Tibetan friends and children, we pray as we are "just being with them."

Reintegration Seminar: For family members, friends, neighbors, and fellow congregation members of our service men and women who are returning from an overseas deployment in our Armed Forces. Pastor John Meyer, who serves Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimount, MN and the US Army as a Chaplain, will explain what our service members may experience as they readjust to life back in the U.S. Learn what you can do to make their return home as positive and helpful as possible! The Seminar will be held on two dates (in different locations): Sat, June 9 at Good Shepherd Lutheran (2500 7th Ave NE, Owatanna) and Sat, June 16 9:30-11am at St. Matthew's Lutheran (1505 Dover St, Worthingon).

Brian Scoles will be ordained and installed as the 8th pastor of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (674 Johnson Parkway, St. Paul, MN 55106, 651-774-2396). You are invited to celebrate with them in a Sunday, June 24 worship service at 2pm. A reception will follow. Before attending seminary Brian served for many years as a Director of Christian Outreach (DCO). He's a friend from my days at Concordia, St. Paul and I know that he'll do a wonderful job capitalizing on the many opportunities to reach out with the Gospel in their vital and vibrant neighborhood!  ~ Pastor Jake

14th Annual Lutheran Night at the Twins - Tuesday, August 21, 2007 - Here's your chance to join family and friends for a night of big league fun and excitement! Since 1994, over 70,000 Lutherans of all ages have joined together for an evening of fellowship at the ballpark. Again this  year, $1 from every ticket sold will go to the Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity to help better lives for Minnesota families. One person from each delegation of 25 or more can participate with the pregame anthem song.
