LCMS World Mission Prayer Request - Remember the Lord's work in Venezuela as you pray for a heart eager to give to God's mission. By supporting missionaries, mission projects, or mission work in targeted areas, more people may hear the Gospel.  Remember to pray for these missionaries as their birthdays come up this week:

The Great Minnesota Get-Together is please to announce that MercyMe with special guests Jeremy Camp and Joel Hanson will be at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand on Thursday, September 2nd. A spectacular fireworks display will follow the show. WE invite your congregation to be a part of this event and experience these three great acts. Ticket prices are $34 and $24. Ham Dinner - You are invited to join the congregation at St. Peter Lutheran Church (880 Neal Ave S in Afton) for their annual ham dinner. It will be held on Sunday, September 12th from 11am - 1:30 pm. Adults $12, Children 6-12 $5, ages 5 and under are free. Take out is also available.

Ensemble Polaris presents "Sacred Music of Henry Purcell," directed by Brian Link, on Sunday, September 12th at 4pm at University Lutheran Chapel (1101 University Ave SE in Minneapolis). Admission: free will donation.

Farmers Market - Enjoy the summer harvest every Thursday from 10am - Noon at the Minneapolis American Indian Center, (1530 E Franklin Ave), from July 8 - September 23. Come support our Native youth, who will be selling produce they grew as well as their artwork. The Market is a collaboration between Dream of Wild Health, Healthy Nations, Na-way-ee Center School, and Native Harvest, with support from the Minneapolis American Indian Center and the Wolves Den. Hospitalizations, Births and Funerals ... Please phone the church office if you or someone you know is hospitalized, has given birth, or is in need of funeral arrangements. Due to privacy laws and lack of staff, hospitals and nursing homes seldom (if ever) phone the congregation or pastor when you enter the hospital.

Do you ever miss Sunday worship? It's important to stay in touch! Worship folders are mailed out each week from the Church Office by request. Let us know if we can send one to you or a loved one.

CD's or Cassette Tapes of this worship gathering are available to you by calling or emailing the church office, 612-870-9487.

Portals of Prayer for July - September are available. Suggested donation is $1. What a great way to spend time with God and your family. A limited number of large print copies are available in the church office.

Campbell's Soup Labels -  Lutheran Special Education Ministries can benefit from Campbell's soup labels - and labels from other Campbell's products as well. The ministry sends the labels to Campbell's and exchanges them for classroom equipment and materials which will benefit us at Trinity First.
