The Mission

To provide for the future of the educational and outreach ministries of Trinity First Lutheran School.

It is the mission of Trinity First Lutheran School to provide a quality, Christ-centered education to the children who live in the inner city of Minneapolis. We are here to provide a safe environment for our students while sharing with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

It is our fervent prayer that the children whom we serve will:

• come to know Jesus as their personal Savior
• master the basics of our curriculum
• demonstrate the standards of a Christian lifestyle

The Need

• Over three quarters of our students have little or no church membership
• Most of our families live on incomes well below poverty level
• Most of our families struggle to even pay 14% of actual tuition costs
• 87% of students qualify for free and reduced meals

The Future

The future of Trinity First Lutheran School is found in:

• Cassy who came back with her baby son, wanting to have him baptized and seeking help on raising him in the family of Christ
• Former students Candy and Cheryl, who have enrolled their children at Trinity First because they saw the importance of a Christian education in their lives
• Leo who understands and is able to express what it means to trust God and have faith in Him
• Mariah who joyfully sings songs about Christ's love and salvation
• Sheila who became a Christian school teacher and came back to share her faith and teaching skills with our inner city children
• Danny who wants to serve his Lord as a Christian police officer

You Can Help

The Adopt-A-Student Scholarship Program helps to remove insurmountable financial obstacles experienced by our families. This program helps them to have the opportunity of a Christ-Centered education and come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

One scholarship is $3900. Our goal is 60 scholarships for the next school year.
