The Twelve Apostles Windows

Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, James the Lesser, Simon the Zealot, Jude, Matthias, Bartholomew, Matthew

The halos surrounding each of the Apostles signify their holiness, sainthood.

Peter

Andrew  
X style cross Put to death on this type of cross; he asked for it to be unlike Jesus' cross.
Three fish Called to be a fisher of men. Also a symbol of the Trinity.
Philip  
Cross Missionary activity
Two loaves of bread His remark when Jesus fed the multitude. John 6:7 - "Philip answered him, "Eight months' wages would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!"
Spear Martyrdom after valiant missionary work in Phrygia and Galatia.

 

Thomas  
Stones Stoned and left to die.
Three spears Killed by a pagan priest.
Carpenter's "Square" Built a mission church in India with his own hands.
James, the Lessor
Windmill Obscure
Saw Thrown off a tower, beaten to death with a fuller's club, then his body was sawn asunder at the age of 96.
